MONDAY 10th September

10:15AM - 11:15AM Begin the Expo with a one-hour intensive introduction to tea! Perfect for the curious tea enthusiast, the aspiring barista, and the interested entrepreneur. Learn the basic fundamentals of serving and drinking tea, tea types and how terroir affects tea. |
11:30AM - 12:30PM Learn about black teas produced all over the world with tea specialist Ranjit Giri, from Asia to Africa, India to Sri Lanka. In this class you will examine many teas, including those made by the Orthodox and CTC processes. |
12:45PM - 1:45PM Learn the foundations of tea leaf reading in the Tasseomancy 101 class with Annie O'Reilly, owner of Tea With Annie! Annie is a young but well-read Tasseomancist who’s abilities can be traced back 8 known generations on her Irish side. Born and raised in Perth, WA, Annie has been reading cups since the age of 11. Now a Melbournian, Annie is a full time Tasseomancist, has successfully completed her Masters Degree at RMIT and conducts workshops, tea parties and private appointments in the Melbourne CBD and all over the world. Tea with Annie’s Tasseomancy 101 teaches you the foundations of tea leaf reading, including an introduction to symbols and their meanings, Irish tea ceremony, and how to predict 12 months into your future! |

2:00PM - 3:30PM Learn the fundamentals of starting your own tea business with T2 founder, Jan O'Connor. Jan was co-managing director for six years before leaving the company in 2002. The company was acquired by Unilever in 2013 for $60m. Jan was responsible for all store design, branding & marketing and was influential in changing the perception of how tea could be sold & promoted. T2 became a disruptor brand in the previously conservative tea & coffee industry. In 2007 Jan identified an opportunity & started a wholesale division in T2. Within four years T2 was supplying tea to more than 500 premium restaurants & retailers and providing crucial onsite service training & product education. |
4:00PM - 5:00PM This is a unique opportunity to learn from a renowned Tea Master who has competed in the world championships of the Tea Masters Cup. |
TUESDAY 11th September

10:15AM - 11:15AM Discover the world of Vietnamese teas, including their unique flavours and history. This class will take you on a journey through Vietnam, including the Ancient Tea Tree forests. A must for those who love learning about rare and unique teas. |
11:30AM - 12.30PM In this class T2 Founder, Jan O'Connor will discuss branding and product presentation in a retail context. You will learn about current retail trends, how to get the most out of the retail space, and tips and tricks on how to kickstart your budding tea business. |
12:45PM - 1:45PM Indonesia is one of the worlds top tea producers and is known for its beautiful tea plantations. In this class you will learn all about Indonesian tea, and get to sample some of the finest available with host Ronald Goenawan from Bankit Wangi who produced some of the finest organic teas in Indonesia. |

2:00PM - 3:00PM Let award winning Lumbini Tea producers take you on an incredible tea journey through Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is world-renowned for its beautiful Ceylon black teas, and boasts many beautiful, varying altitude tea gardens and plantations. |
3:15PM - 4:15PM Discover how to appreciate Korean teas both traditional and modern ways. Soo Chung, the Founder of Tea Creative, and the Organizer of Tea Drinkers in Korea, will walk through different types of Korean teas, tea grades, tea plantations, tea products, and current tea trends in South Korea. This class is all about providing what's really going on in South Korea in terms of tea industry. This one-hour intensive class will be perfect for people whom are especially interested in tea culture, tea travel, tea business to South Korea. Also, a variety of Korean tea samples will be presented during the class. |
4:30PM - 5:30PM Refine your skills in Tea and Food Pairing with guru Lisa Westcott from Tea at Henry's! A Certified Tea Master and Tea Blender, Lisa loves the art of combining tea and food and will share her tips and tricks with you for creating delicious tea inspired dishes. |
WEDNESDAY 12th September

10:15AM - 11:15AM This mastery class is dedicated to the ancient tradition of GongFuCha. This tradition is an ideal combination of aesthetics, philosophy and high-quality fragrance and taste. From this mastery class you will learn about the history of the traditional Chinese ceremony and its implicit symbolic meaning. And along with that - just enjoy the ancient art of brewing tea. |
11:45AM - 12:45PM Tea and coffee are too often considered complete opposites, even though they have many similarities. Join Nathan Johnston, founder and owner of Coffee Cartel Roasters and avid tea drinker, as he discusses the harmony between coffee and tea and how one cannot exist without the other. |
1:00PM - 2:00PM In this class you will learn about the current trends and innovations in the tea industry, from brewing equipment to blends. Hosted by former BKON Business Director APAC, Susan Crane, this class aims to show you all the modern tea innovations from leaf to cup. |

2:15PM - 3:15PM Puerh is one of the least recognized tea categories in the western world yet this tea has the most intriguing of all teas. Learn why and how it was developed and the massive amount of research that has gone into proving its unique health benefits. Sharyn Johnston, director of Australian Tea Masters, will be hosting this class, which she also taught in June at World Tea Expo in Las Vegas. |
3:30PM - 4:30PM What better way to finish off a tea expo but with some delicious tea inspired cocktails! Join tea master and experienced mixologist Alexander Wagner who will teach you all about making your own tea cocktails.
